SYRACUSE, N.Y. (AP) -- Several hundred cheering Syracuse fans congregated outside a sports bar near campus Saturday to celebrate the Orangemen's 95-84 victory over Texas in the national semifinals.

Students watching the game at Syracuse's Carrier Dome came out chanting, "Let's go Orange," as they headed to Konrad's on Marshall Street in the snow. Police arrested at least five people caught climbing trees and light poles along the street.

The game was played at the Superdome in New Orleans.

"This is so unbelievable," said Rebecca Roa, a Syracuse senior from Princeton, N.J. "We're going to kick Kansas' butt."

Syracuse will play Kansas on Monday in the title game.

"We got it. We definitely got it," said freshman Ryan York, of Syracuse. "They're overachievers."

"Nobody can touch them," said freshman Matt Cooley, a Binghamton native. "They have the best offense in the country."

Several dozen police officers stood by, mostly observing the revelry. Chief Dennis DuVal, a Syracuse basketball star in the 1970s, directed the police operations.
