Although passing is a subtle art, it can have spectacular results:
1. Ernie DiGregorio, Providence, 1973.
Makes a half-court, no-look,
behind-the-back, under-pressure, through-a-crowd bounce pass in transition to teammate Marvin Barnes for a layup in national semifinal against Memphis State, which the Friars lose 98-95 after Barnes dislocates a knee.
2. Grant Hill, Duke, 1992.
Tosses a 75-foot heave in overtime to
Christian Laettner for the winning turnaround jumper in the 0Blue Devils' 104- 103
East Regional final victory over Kentucky.
3. Scott Burrell, Connecticut, 1990.
Makes a full-court pass to Tate
George in the corner for a jumper that gives the Huskies a 71-70 win over Clemson in a Southeast Regional semifinal.
