The most spectacular drives in tournament history:
1. Danny Ainge, Brigham Young, 1981.
Slalom-dribbles through the Notre
Dame defense, then tosses in a layup at the buzzer, as the Cougars defeat
the Irish 51-50 in an East Regional semifinal. The fullcourt rush becomes known as the "March through Atlanta."
2. Tyus Edney, UCLA, 1995.
His fullcourt rush and floater over the
Missouri defense gives the Bruins a 75-74 second-round win. UCLA goes on to take the title.
3. Bryan Warrick, St. Joseph's, 1981.
Rebounds a missed free throw and
weaves through the DePaul defense, hitting John Smith under the basket for the winning layup as the Hawks oust the No. 1 Blue Demons 49-48 in the second round.
