Martell Bailey contributed a season-high 20 points on 8-of-9 shooting, and had nine assists and a career high-tying seven rebounds. Armond Williams had 14 points and Aaron Carr added 11 in the win.
UIC is 5-31 all time against Big Ten opponents. The Flames last beat a Big Ten team on November 21, 1997, when they defeated Michigan State.
