CINCINNATI (Ticker) -- After a big win over an intracity rival, 11th-ranked Xavier seeks a fourth straight victory when it hosts intrastate foe Miami of Ohio on Monday.
On Saturday, the Muskateers posted a 50-44 road triumph over Cincinnati in the Crosstown Shootout behind 23 points and 10 rebounds by David West.
Romain Sato contributed 12 points and Anthony Myles added six as Xavier's starting five did all of its scoring. Lionel Chalmers, who entered averaging 17.3 points, was held to five and Dedrick Finn added four.
The RedHawks (3-3) have won back-to-back games, including an unusual 44-39 triumph over Western Michigan on Saturday.
Danny Horace was Miami's only player in double figures, scoring 13 points, as the RedHawks shot just 38 percent.
The RedHawks held the Broncos to 35 percent but grabbed only 18 rebounds and dished out just three assists.
Xavier leads the all-time series, 45-44, including a 87-58 road triumph last season.
