EUGENE, Oregon (Ticker) -- Fifth-ranked Oregon has the perfect opponent to feast upon on Friday as it tries to extend its home winning streak when it faces overmatched Florida A&M.
Oregon (5-1) owns a 19-game home winning streak against non-conference opponents since a loss to Cal State Northridge on December 11, 1999. The Ducks are 4-0 at home this season.
Florida A&M (3-3) should not present much of a challenge. The Rattlers are playing a ranked team for the third time after losing by 39 points at Xavier and 27 points at Cincinnati. They still have a trip to Florida on tap.
The Ducks suffered their first loss, 77-52, to Cincinnati on Tuesday in the Jimmy V Classic in East Rutherford, New Jersey. Luke Ridnour scored just 10 points and Luke Jackson managed only nine after combining to average over 40 in the first six games.
Oregon owns a 30-7 record when Jackson and Ridnour both score in double figures. The Ducks are 18-0 at home when that happens.
The Ducks' unselfish play has resulted in the team averaging 17.4 assists in comparison to 10.9 for their opponents.
