MILWAUKEE (Ticker) -- No. 14 Marquette will try to extend its winning streak to three games when it hosts Elon on Saturday.
The Golden Eagles (8-1) have won back-to-back games since having their season-opening six-game winning streak ended by Notre Dame on December 2. Marquette has won 21 straight home games, 20 at the Bradley Center.
Junior guard Dwyane Wade scored 25 points to lead Marquette to a 63-54 victory over Wisconsin last Saturday. Wade leads Conference USA in scoring at 25.1 points per game.
Elon (4-2) suffered a 66-51 loss at Northwestern on Wednesday to snap a four-game winning streak. The Phoenix have no senior starters and their leading scorer is sophomore forward Gary Marsh at 11.2 points per game.
Marquette and Elon are playing each other for the first time.
