TUSCALOOSA, Alabama (Ticker) -- Fourth-ranked Alabama tries to extend its school-record home winning streak to 25 games when it hosts Morehead State at Coleman Coliseum on Monday.
Alabama (8-0), which has not lost at home since February 2001, defeated Providence on Saturday, 69-61.
Ricky Dudley scored 19 points and grabbed 14 rebounds and Maurice Williams added 19 points for the Crimson Tide, who trailed, 27-21, before scoring the final 14 points of the first half and the first six of the second half.
Alabama shot just 36 percent (21-of-58) against Providence's zone but limited the Friars to 35 percent (23-of-65).
Morehead State (4-3) has won two of its last three games, including a 101-100 overtime triumph over Marshall on Tuesday.
Ricky Minard scored 35 points and Craig Lewis added 17, including the go-ahead free throw with 2.4 seconds left in the extra session.
Alabama is 1-1 all time against Morehead State. The Crimson Tide defeated the Eagles in the last meeting, in 1977, 114-68.
