GAINESVILLE, Florida (Ticker) -- No. 12 Florida can complete a sweep of intrastate opponents on Monday night when it welcomes Florida A&M to the O'Connell Center.
Florida (10-2) enters with a six-game winning streak and a 4-0 mark against state schools. The Gators last played in a 99-64 rout of Bethune-Cookman on Saturday.
Matt Walsh scored 29 points and fellow freshman Anthony Roberson added 22 in 24 minutes to lead Florida. Justin Hamilton added 11 points to help make up for lackluster efforts by Matt Bonner and David Lee, who combined for 13 points.
The Gators are 6-0 at home this season, winning by an average of 26.8 points.
Florida A&M (3-4) is facing a ranked opponent for the fourth time. The Rattlers have lost to Cincinnati, Xavier and Oregon by an average of 32 points per game.
Jermaine Hill collected 17 points and 10 rebounds as Florida A&M fell at Oregon in its last game on December 20, 107-66.
Florida is 3-0 against Florida A&M, including a 125-50 rout on December 10, 2000.
