AUSTIN, Texas (Ticker) -- No. 10 Texas will look for its third consecutive win when it plays host to Louisiana Tech on Monday.
If the Longhorns (7-2) win, it will be the 300th coaching victory for Rick Barnes in his 16-year career.
Texas has defeated McNeese State and Princeton so far on its five-game homestand after back-to-back losses against Notre Dame and Arizona.
Sophomore guard T.J. Ford has excelled for Texas, leading the Longhorns with 13.8 points and 8.2 assists per game.
Senior forward Antonio Meeking has led Louisiana Tech in scoring in all six of its games, including a 73-68 win over Jackson State on December 21.
Louisiana Tech's results have not been surprising thus far, with victories over Millsaps, Harding and Jackson State and losses against Florida, Mississippi State and Arkansas. The Bulldogs have won all three of their home games and lost all three of their away contests.
Louisiana Tech has played Texas only once, losing 81-68 in a 1975 contest in Mobile, Alabama.
