PEORIA, Illinois (Ticker) -- No. 16 Creighton seeks a third straight victory to begin Missouri Valley Conference play on Wednesday when it visits struggling Bradley.
Creighton (11-1, 2-0 MVC) won its conference home opener with an 84-63 victory over Drake on Sunday. Kyle Korver scored 23 points on 7-of-9 shooting and DeAnthony Bowden added 11 off the bench for the Bluejays, who jumped out to a 15-2 lead and never looked back.
Korver needs a pair of 3-pointers to reach 300 for his career. The 6-7 senior forward leads the team with 19.8 points per game and 5.8 rebounds per contest.
Bradley (4-8, 0-1) lost its MVC opener on Saturday with a 67-45 loss at Southwest Missouri State. Danny Granger and Michael Stewart each scored 14 points to lead the Braves.
The Braves are just 2-3 at home and are playing here for the first time since a 74-71 loss to Central Michigan on December 18.
Creighton has won three straight against the Braves, its longest winning streak in the series since an eight-game streak from January 21, 1989 to February 4, 1992. The Bluejays snapped an eight-game skid at Bradley with last season's nationally-televised 80-64 victory on February 23, 2002 as Korver scored 13 points.
