OMAHA, Nebraska (Ticker) -- No. 14 Creighton can match its best start in Missouri Valley Conference play in 14 years when it faces Evansville at the Omaha-Civic Auditorium.
Creighton (13-1, 4-0 MVC) is trying to match the 5-0 start in conference play of the 1988-89 team. The best start in MVC play for the Bluejays was 10-0 in the 1942-43 season.

The Bluejays are 7-0 at home, winning every game by double digits.
Evansville (5-7, 1-2) is in its first season under coach Steve Merfeld, who led Hampton to back-to-back Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference titles. The Aces are just 1-4 on the road this season.
