CINCINNATI (Ticker) -- No. 24 Xavier can match a season high with its fourth straight victory when it hosts slumping Atlantic 10 foe Duquesne on Tuesday.
Romain Sato scored 23 points as undermanned Xavier coasted to an 86-73 Atlantic 10 Conference victory over Massachusetts on Saturday. The victory came without starting point guard Lionel Chalmers, who is out for at least the rest of January with a foot injury.
The Musketeers (12-4, 3-1 A-10 West) are 9-1 at home this season. They own a four-game winning streak over Duquesne and are 11-2 against the Dukes since the teams became conference rivals in 1995.
Kevin Forney scored 19 points but the Dukes committed 21 turnovers to fall to Richmond on Saturday, 75-69.
Duquesne has lost its last two on the road and three of its past four overall. The Dukes have met ranked teams twice this season, losing those games by an average of 32.5 points.
