OMAHA, Nebraska (Ticker) -- Ninth-ranked Creighton attempts to bounce back from its first loss in nearly a month when it hosts a non-conference matchup Sunday against Texas Christian.

Creighton (16-2) saw a chance for the best start in school history slip away with a 74-66 loss at Evansville on Thursday. The night was a nightmare for leading scorer Kyle Korver, who was receiving attention as a possible national Player of the Year candidate.

But Korver had one of the worst games of his career, misfiring on 11-of-12 shots for five points. He missed all seven 3-pointers despite leading the nation in 3-pointers with 77.

Creighton is hoping that its trend of winning the game after Korver shoots poorly continues. Korver has shot below 30 percent on 10 occasions before Thursday and the Bluejays have won the next game the last times.

The Bluejays are 10-0 at home this season and have won every game but one by double figures.

Texas Christian (7-9) has lost seven out of 10 under new coach Neil Dougherty. The Horned Frogs have lost five straight on the road, where they are 2-6 this season

Cory Santee scored 25 points as Texas Christian ended a four-game skid with Wednesday's 93-84 victory over Tulane. Jamal Brown added 19 points and 14 rebounds.

This is TCU's third game against a ranked opponent - all on the road. The Horned Frogs have lost at Tulsa and Louisville.

TCU evened the all-time series with Creighton with an 82-77 victory last season behind 22 points from Bingo Merriex. Korver netted 25 points and nailed five 3-pointers.
