OMAHA, Nebraska (Ticker) -- No. 13 Creighton hopes to become the first team in the country to earn 20 wins when it opens a three-game homestand against Missouri Valley Conference rival Northern Iowa on Tuesday at the Omaha Civic Auditorium.
Creighton (19-2, 9-1 MVC) has won three games in a row and nine of 10 since the beginning of January.
On Saturday, the Bluejays routed Drake on the road, 88-68, behind a career high-tying 23 points by Larry House.
DeAnthony Bowden added 17 points and Tyler McKinney 14 as the Bluejays shot 61 percent (36-of-59). Kyle Korver, the MVC's leading scorer, was held to six points but grabbed seven rebounds and handed out a career-best eight assists.
Northern Iowa (6-12, 3-7) snapped a four-game losing streak with a 63-61 triumph over Evansville on Saturday.
Freshman Ben Jacobson scored 18 points and David Gruber added 14 and 12 rebounds as the Panthers shot 47 percent and limited Evansville to 39 percent.
The Panthers have lost eight straight road games since winning at Montana in their season opener on November 22.
Creighton leads the all-time series with Northern Iowa, 15-10, including 12-6 under Dana Altman. The Bluejays are 10-2 in Omaha against the Panthers.
