ST. LOUIS (Ticker) -- No. 19 Creighton tries to defeat Indiana State for the third time this season when they meet at the Savvis Center on Saturday in the Missouri Valley Conference Tournament quarterfinals.
Creighton (26-4) received a bye into the quarterfinals after going 15-3 in regular-season conference play. The Bluejays finished one game behind first-place Southern Illinois.
The Bluejays have won four of their last five contests, including an 86-60 rout of Wichita State on Senior Day on Monday.
Senior Larry House scored a career-high 28 points for Creighton, which never trailed in the romp.
Creighton, the nation's leader in wins, defeated Indiana State on the road on January 29, 74-46, and at home on February 19, 77-54.
The Bluejays won last year's MVC Tournament, defeating Northern Iowa, Illinois State and Southern Illinois.
Indiana State (7-23) had gone just 2-16 in regular-season conference play - the worst mark in the league by three games - but upset Northern Iowa in a first-round MVC Tournament matchup on Friday, 61-60.
Brian Giesen, who scored 19 points off the bench to pace the Sycamores, tipped in a missed shot at the buzzer to lift them to the victory.
