Tennessee (17-11) went 9-7 in the tough Southeastern Conference but did not make the NCAA Tournament after losing five of its last seven games.

The Volunteers, who will be playing in the NIT for the 10th time, have not played in the tournament since 1996.
Georgetown (15-14) struggled in Big East Conference play, going just 6-10.
