LARAMIE, Wyoming (Ticker) -- In a game delayed 48 hours because of the weather, Wyoming takes on Eastern Washington in a National Invitation Tournament first-round matchup on Thursday at the Arena-Auditorium.
The contests was slated to be played on Tuesday but was postponed because of the massive snowstorm that blanketed the region.
Wyoming (20-10) went 8-6 in the Mountain West Conference but stumbled down the stretch, losing four of its last five contests, including its last three.
The Cowboys are led by senior guards Donta Richardson and Marcus Bailey, who average 17.8 and 15.6 points, respectively.
Eastern Washington (18-12) went 9-5 in the Big Sky Conference but dropped three of its last four games.
This will be the fifth time the schools have met, with the Cowboys having won the first four matchups. They last played during the 1977-78 campaign.
The winner faces North Carolina, which defeated DePaul on Tuesday, 83-72.
