IOWA CITY, Iowa (Ticker) -- After a dramatic victory, Iowa looks for its third win in the National Invitation Tournament on Monday when it takes on Georgia Tech.

Iowa (17-15) lost 10 of 14 games before beating Valparaiso in the opening round of this tournament. The Hawkeyes followed that up with a dramatic 54-53 victory at Iowa State.

Brody Boyd made a free throw with 15 seconds left that proved to the game-winner for Iowa, which was facing its state rival for the first time in the postseason. The Hawkeyes survived a pair of missed shots by the Cyclones in the final 10 seconds.

Georgia Tech (15-14) climbed above the .500 mark with a 72-58 victory over Ohio State. Freshman Chris Bosh scored 18 points and blocked four shots to lead the Yellow Jackets. B.J. Elder had 12 points and Marvin Lewis added 11.

Bosh was the Atlantic Coast Conference Freshman of the Year and is averaging 15.5 points and 8.9 rebounds. There are rumors that the 6-10 forward will bolt to the NBA.

The Yellow Jackets struggled in true road games this season, going just 1-10.

Iowa posted an 85-67 victory over Georgia Tech last season here in the ACC-Big Ten Challenge. Lewis scored 15 points for the Yellow Jackets.

The winner faces Texas Tech in the quarterfinals.
