LAS VEGAS (Ticker) -- Robert Archibald scored seven of his 16 points in an early 24-3 run as second-ranked Illinois embarrassed Georgia Tech, 105-66, to reach the title game of the Las Vegas Invitational.

Damir Krupalija had half his 12 points during the key first-half burst as the Fighting Illini (4-0) quickly ended any doubt of the outcome by turning a tie game into a 30-9 contest with just over 11 minutes to play in the opening half.

Sean Harrington also had six points during the run, including a 3-pointer that gave Illinois its 21-point advantage.

The Illini's bulge ballooned to 35 points just before halftime and the Yellow Jackets, who also lost to Pennsylvania during pool play at this tournament, got no closer than 27 over the final 20 minutes.

Cory Bradford finished with 15 points and Brian Cook added 14 for Illinois, which will play Southern Illinois in Saturday's championship game.

Georgia Tech (2-2) meets Saint Louis in a consolation contest.

The Yellow Jackets received 19 points from Tony Akins but committed 20 turnovers leading to 21 Illinois points.

Cook threw down a dunk on the break to put Illinois up for good with 16:37 to play in the first half and Archibald also followed with a dunk. After a free throw by Georgia Tech's Halston Lane, Archibald scored five straight points on a pair of layups around a free throw.

A pair of 3-pointers but Harrington and Krupalija's layup off the break constituted the tail end of the run.

Illinois held a 67-34 advantage at the break and led by as much as 40 points on two occasions. The Fighting Illini doubled Georgia Tech's 13 free throws and made half of their 66 shots, including 13-of-27 from long range.

The Yellow Jackets shot 40 percent (24-of-60).

Illinois leads the all-time series, 6-1. This was the first meeting between the schools since 1989.
