NEWARK, Delaware (Ticker) -- Marvin O'Connor scored 21 points in 22 minutes and Na'im Crenshaw added 16 points as No. 21 St. Joseph's recorded an 84-57 victory over Delaware.

The win was the 13th in the last 14 meetings for Saint Joseph's (3-1) over Delaware and the 26th in 34 games overall.

O'Connor shot 7-of-11 from the field and 3-of-6 from 3-point range, as well as 4-of-4 from the line. The senior is averaging 25 points over the last two games.

"We had two great practices before this game and when we are shooting the ball like that, I do not know anyone in the country that can beat us," O'Connor said. "We had balance today that is going to win ballgames." Crenshaw was 6-of-9 from the floor and hit his lone shot from behind the arc. He was 3-of-3 from the foul line and grabbed six rebounds in 27 minutes.

Jameer Nelson chipped in 12 points on 5-of-10 from the field and Bill Phillips pulled down nine boards to lead the Hawks.

"We were having fun," Nelson said.

Sean Knitter led Delaware (2-3) with 11 points, shooting 3-of-5 from the floor. All three baskets were from 3-point range and he added six rebounds.

Ryan Iversen also pulled down six boards for the Blue Hens, who fell to 0-24 all-time against top 25 teams.

"They are a great team," Iversen said. "Not to take anything away from them, but we beat ourselves. We gave them open looks and didn't follow our game plan." The Hawks never trailed in the contest and led 22-18 with just over eight minutes left in the first half before using a 26-12 run over the final 8:26 for a 48-28 lead at intermission.

St. Joseph's scored 16 of its first-half points as a result of 11 turnovers by Delaware, which committed 19 for the game.

The closest the Blue Hens came in the second half was 18 points on a basket by Maurice Sessoms just over a minute in. Sessoms scored nine points on 3-of-9 shooting.

"I felt like tonight we just quit," Delaware coach David Henderson said. "We had a lot of guys who just gave up. We were prepared, we did everything we were supposed to do but we showed up tonight and at tip off, we just weren't ready to play." .
