TUSCALOOSA, Alabama (Ticker) -- Alabama was not distracted by its football team. Erwin Dudley scored 16 points to lead four players in double figures as the 22nd-ranked Crimson Tide posted a 90-61 rout of McNeese State. It was the first time in school history that Alabama (5-1) was hosting basketball and football games on the same day. The Crimson Tide football team became bowl-eligible with a 28-15 victory over Southern Mississippi at Legion Field in Birmingham. Back in Tuscaloosa, Alabama dominated early, racing to a 27-10 lead with 9:40 left in the first half. The Crimson Tide held a 51-24 halftime cushion, allowing fans to turn their attention to the gridiron. Rod Grizzard scored 13 points and Terrance Meade and freshman Maurice Williams each added 11 for Alabama, which has won 20 of its last 21 home games. Jason Coleman had 15 points to lead McNeese State (1-3), which fell to 0-3 all-time against the Crimson Tide.
