COLUMBIA, Missouri (Ticker) -- Rickey Paulding scored nine of his 21 points in the first four minutes of the second half to help lift No. 25 Missouri to a 73-70 Big 12 Conference victory over Colorado.

Paulding hit a jump shot with 16:24 left to cap an 11-2 run and put Missouri ahead, 48-37. The Tigers (13-4, 4-2 Big 12) never trailed after the surge, although the Buffaloes got close at the end.

Colorado (12-7, 2-4) edged within 71-70 with 7.2 seconds to go as a 3-pointer by Michel Morandais capped an 11-2 run. Freshman Jimmy McKinney hit a pair of free throws for Missouri at the other end and Morandais missed a 3-pointer at the buzzer.

The Buffaloes led by as many as eight points in the first half and lost despite holding the Tigers to 37 percent (13-of-35) shooting in the second half.

Morandais led the Buffaloes with 18 points and Blair Wilson added 16.
