MILWAUKEE (Ticker) -- Dwyane Wade is back in prime form and Marquette is back in first place in the American division of Conference USA.
Wade scored 21 points and grabbed nine rebounds to lead the 12th-ranked Golden Eagles to a 75-67 victory over Charlotte.
The win moved Marquette (19-4, 10-2 C-USA American) ahead of Louisville, which beat the Golden Eagles last Saturday to snap a 28-game home winning streak. But the Cardinals lost to Memphis on Wednesday and Marquette moved back on top.
The teams will meet again February 27 at Louisville.
Wade hit just 3-of-13 shots and finished with 15 points in the loss to Louisville and had averaged 14.6 points and shot only 33 percent in his previous five games. But the high-flying guard was 7-of-14 from the field and 7-of-7 from the line, grabbed four offensive rebounds and added five assists and three steals in this win.

After two free throws apiece by Wade and Diener helped Marquette increase its lead back to 10, Brown connected on his sixth 3-pointer of the game to make it 67-60 with 2:50 remaining.

Second in the conference with 55 percent shooting from the floor, Jackson had 15 points on 5-of-8 shooting. Diener finished with 12 and Merritt added 11 points and 10 rebounds.
