MOLINE, Ill. (AP) -- Jessica Rhoten scored 20 points, grabbed seven rebounds and had four steals as Oral Roberts beat Youngstown State 57-52 to win the Mid-Continent women's championship Tuesday night.
The Golden Eagles (17-12) rallied from a 10-point second-half deficit to earn their first-ever NCCA tournament bid.
The Penguins (20-9), who were ahead 30-28 at halftime, went on a 10-0 run to take a 44-34 lead. But Oral Roberts used an 8-0 spurt of its own to close to 44-42.
Rhoten hit two free throws that put the Eagles in front 51-50. A free throw by Youngstown State's Brianne Kenneally tied it at 51. But tournament MVP Krista Ragan picked up a loose ball and drove the baseline to send Oral Roberts ahead to stay with 1:20 remaining.
A layup and two free throws by Laketa Collier sealed the outcome.
Lisa Rotunna's 13 points paced Youngstown, while Leslie Majewski added 12 and Brianne Kenneally 11. Ragan had 12 points and Collier 10 points and a game-high nine rebounds for Oral Roberts.
Youngstown made eight 3-pointers to two for Oral Roberts, but the Eagles dominated the boards 45-32. They also had 17 more foul shots and made 13 more, finishing 15-of-22.
