PITTSBURGH (AP) -- University of Pittsburgh basketball player Isaac Hawkins was arrested Monday on charges involving marijuana possession, according to broadcast news reports.

Hawkins was arrested at his apartment after neighbors complained of a strong odor of marijuana, KDKA-TV reported.

Police found marijuana in Hawkins' apartment, according to WPXI-TV. He lived in the city's Oakland neighborhood, near the Pitt campus.

The 6-foot-8 senior forward took a redshirt this season after breaking a leg in November.

Hawkins' arrest is the latest off-court incident to plague the Panthers' squad.

Chris Seabrooks was arrested last fall for fighting and pleaded guilty to harassment and disorderly conduct, receiving a 90-day suspended sentence.

Freshman Donatas Zavackas was benched for two games this season for undisclosed reasons.

And last year, Pitt was embarrassed when former player Fred Primus was arrested on theft charges during a road trip to Villanova.
