St. Peter's wins MAAC tourney

ALBANY, N.Y. (AP) -- Lawanda Greene scored 15 points as St. Peter's beat Fairfield 61-46 on Sunday in the championship game of the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference tournament.

St. Peter's (23-7) secured an automatic bid to the NCAA tournament with its second straight MAAC title and eighth overall.

Mercy Aghedo added 11 points and 16 rebounds for St. Peter's. Holli Tapley had 12 points and eight rebounds for Fairfield (25-7).
