FORT WAYNE, Ind. (AP) -- Brianne Kenneally scored 21 points to lead Youngstown State to a 73-57 win Tuesday over Valparaiso for the Mid-Continent Conference championship.

The win gives Youngstown State (22-8) the conference's automatic bid to the NCAA tournament. Kenneally, who shot 7-of-11 from the field, was named the tournament's most valuable player.

The Penguins led 42-30 at halftime and never lost their advantage.

Lisa Winter of Valparaiso scored 15 points for the Crusaders (18-12).
