Maryland's Morris to stay for senior season

COLLEGE PARK, Md. (AP) -- University of Maryland forward Terence Morris announced Wednesday that he will return to the Terrapins for his senior season.

As a junior, the 6-9 Morris averaged 15.8 points, a career high, and 8.6 rebounds last season, third in the Atlantic Coast Conference.

Morris surpassed the 1,000-point mark for his collegiate career against Duke on Jan. 9 and closed the season with 1,288 career points in 100 games.

He was a second team All-ACC selection and an honorable mention All American.
