Former player Ricky Calloway told the Houston Chronicle in March he once saw Knight punch former player and current Iowa coach Steve Alford during practice, a charge Alford denied.
Former Indiana player and current Toronto Raptors coach Butch Carter alleged in a book he co-wrote that Knight used a racial insult against one of his players, a charge Knight denied.
Former athletic department secretary Jeanette Hartgraves told the Indianapolis Star that in February 1998, Knight swore at her and advanced at her in anger before athletic director Clarence Doninger interceded.
Hartgraves also accused Knight of throwing a vase againt the wall near the secretary 12 years ago, sending shards of glass her way.
The Chicago Sun-Times reported that Knight attacked assistant Ron Felling after overhearing him talk about problems with the program. Felling was dismissed five days later.
Indianapolis' WRTV reported Knight attacked sports information director Kit Klingelhoffer 10 years ago during a confrontation over a news release. Klingelhoffer was knocked out, the station reported.
Knight's 29-year career at Indiana ended when was fired Sept. 10. The university dismissed its longtime coach after a 19-year-old student, Kent Harvey, claimed that Knight grabbed his arm and lectured him about manners Sept. 7. Harvey's stepfather, Mark Shaw, is a former talk-show host who Knight said is probably "the most vitriolic critic I've had."
