Fordham, Hill cut ties after 2-26 season

NEW YORK (AP) -- Bob Hill is out as Fordham men's basketball coach after the Rams had the worst record in school history, 2-26.

The former NBA coach had six years left on a 10-year deal.

Hill and the school released a joint statement Wednesday that said they "amicably agreed to end their contractual relationship."

The Rams finished last season with 15 straight losses. Hill never had a winning record in four seasons at the school, going 36-78 overall.

He was a head coach with the Knicks, Pacers and Spurs. He most recently guided San Antonio from 1994-97, leading the Spurs to two Midwest Division championships.

Fordham has not had a winning season since 1991-92, when Nick Macarchuk led the Rams to the NCAA tournament and an 18-13 record.
