CHICAGO (CNNSI.com) -- Defending national champion Duke has received its fourth commitment -- and second by a top 10 prospect -- for the class of 2002.

The Blue Devils led all along for Sean Dockery, a 6-2 Chicago point guard ranked eighth nationally by CNNSI.com recruiting expert Brick Oettinger. He informed coach Mike Krzyzewski of his decision Tuesday night after achieving a qualifying score on the June ACT, Oettinger confirmed.

Dockery chose Duke over Florida, which last week landed a highly rated point guard of its own, Anthony Roberson, and over home-state school Illinois. Roberson, who was reportedly also high on Duke if it was to offer a scholarship, played Dockery to a standoff in their much chronicled showdown at May's Tournament of Champions in Durham.

"Offensively, he's an unselfish player, which is what Duke is looking for," said Oettinger. "He can hit the 3, but he's not a gunner. He won't be throwing up 3s like Jason Williams, but when he shoots it, he can knock it in like Chris Duhon does. He's gonna have more size than some of the guys Duke had at point guard in recent years."

Dockery averaged 21 points, eight rebounds, nine assists and five steals last season for Chicago Julian.

In addition to Dockery, the Blue Devils have commitments from 6-5 swingman J.J. Redick (No. 7 overall), 6-10 center Michael Thompson (No. 51) and 6-7 forward Lee Melchionni (No. 80). They are expected to add as many as two more, battling arch-rival North Carolina for three 6-10 targets: Shavlik Randolph (No. 4), Shelden Williams (No. 11) and Torin Francis (No. 17).

Due to the NCAA's new limit of five scholarships per recruiting year, one player would have to walk-on for Duke to sign six players, and even then it's unclear whether that would be allowed.
