Second-team All-America pick by Sports Illustrated for Women
First-team all-Pac-10 selection this season, becoming just the third player in conference history to earn first-team honors all four years.
Underwent back surgery in May to correct a disk problem.
Became the fifth player in UCLA basketball history (men's or women's) to amass more than 2,000 career points.
Ended the regular season as the Pac-10's leading scorer (17.8 ppg) and second-leading rebounder (8.6 rpg).
Enters the NCAA tournament having scored 20 or more points in four straight games.
"May is a special player," says UCLA coach Kathy Olivier. "Her quickness, especially in running the floor, and
size combination make it very difficult for teams to play her straight up. We
asked her to carry a large burden in each season she has been a Bruin, and May
has responded to the challenge each time. She has battled her way through some
injuries the last couple of seasons to be there for the team time-after-time in
the clutch."
