Utah made this one ugly, as it had to if it wanted to knock off the Irish, but the Utes couldn't get Riley into foul trouble and thus couldn't take her out of the game. It also didn't help that the Utes had only one starter score in double figures.

Iowa State was done by halftime. McElhiney hit three huge 3-pointers near the end of the half to give Vandy a nice cushion, and Chantelle Anderson (34 points) pounded away at the Cyclones the rest of the way.
