If the eyes are the windows to the soul then Shea Ralph certainly hides no emotions. UConn's gritty guard was the heart of the Huskies march to the national title last spring, and Ralph's drive and determination were distinctly apparent in Connecticut's 71-52 dismantling of Tennessee.
Between pumped fists and scrambles for loose balls, Ralph scored 15 points on 7-of-8 shooting, recorded seven assists, six steals and a block en route to earning Final Four Most Outstanding Player honors.
Though she's earned acclaim with the Huskies, nothing has come easy for Ralph. She tore the anterior cruciate ligament in her right knee and missed the final three games of her freshman campaign. She re-injured the knee prior to her sophomore season campaign and missed the entire 1997-98 campaign.
Her Final Four performance proved Ralph has fully recovered from those setbacks, and she has her sights set on another Husky run.
