BATON BOUGE, Louisiana (Ticker) -- Marie Ferdinand scored 20 points and April Brown and Katrina Hibbert added 14 apiece as No. 22 Louisiana State posted a 67-56 victory over Michigan.
Ferdinand was 9-of-19 from the field and added six rebounds and six assists, helping LSU (6-1) record its sixth straight win following a season-opening defeat at Texas Tech.
Hibbert also had 10 assists and six steals for the Fighting Tigers, who shot 50 percent (26-of-52) from the field but only 56 percent (14-of-25) from the foul line.
DeTrina White collected 10 points and eight rebounds for LSU, which pulled away in the second half after Michigan forged a 29-29 tie at halftime.
Michigan (7-2) has dropped two straight after opening the season with seven wins.
Alayne Ingram scored 20 points for the Wolverines, who shot just 34 percent (20-of-59) and committed 22 turnovers. Michigan made only 9-of-31 shots in the second half.
