GAINESVILLE, Florida (Ticker) -- Alissa Murphy and Brianne Stepherson scored 16 points apiece to lead a balanced attack as No. 25 Boston College rallied for a 66-61 victory over Florida to win the State Farm Classic.
All five starters scored in double figures for the Eagles (11-3), who erased a 34-28 halftime deficit. Becky Gottstein had 11 points and 14 rebounds, Cal Bouchard scored 11 points and Jamie Cournoyer added 10.
Boston College shot 52 percent (12-of-23) from the field in the second half while limiting Florida to 26.5 percent (9-of-34).
Tonya Washington scored 22 points and Naomi Mobley added 12 and 17 rebounds for the Lady Gators (8-2), who shot 34 percent (22-of-64) overall and had a seven-game winning streak snapped. Florida hosted the two-day tournament.
Boston College's starters played all but 27 minutes. The Eagles shot 45 percent (25-of-56) and held a 44-40 rebounding edge.
