Krystal Scott, Erin Batth and freshman Chrissy Floyd each netted four points during that run and Nuria Forns closed it with a 3-pointer as the Lady Tigers opened a 27-13 cushion with 3:54 left in the first half. Floyd finished the half with eight points as Clemson (19-11) opened a 31-18 lead, holding Drake to just 7-of-22 shooting. Batth finished with 17 points on 7-of-16 shooting and Floyd added 14 for Clemson, which shot 41 percent (26-of-63) from the floor and improved to 13-12 in the NCAA Tournament. Drake (23-7) fell to 4-7 all-time in the tournament despite Kristin Santa scoring 13 points, Erin Richards 12 and Carla Bennett 10. The Bulldogs shot only 31 percent, including 4-of-21 from 3-point range, and could not overcome 20 turnovers.
