KANSAS CITY, Missouri (Ticker) -- Betty Lennox scored 25 points as top seed Louisiana Tech won its 21st straight game and moved within one win of its third straight Final Four with an 86-74 victory over No. 4 seed Old Dominion in the Midwest Region semifinals.
The Lady Techsters' winning streak is the nation's longest and they can clinch their 11th trip to the Final Four on Monday against second seed Penn State.
Lennox buried two of her four 3-pointers during a 21-10 run as Louisiana Tech (31-2) opened a 66-50 lead with 11:14 left. Lennox, Christie Sides and Tamicha Jackson each hit consecutive shots from behind the arc to close the spurt.
Old Dominion (29-5), which had its 15-game winning streak snapped, used an 11-5 spurt and moved within 71-61 on Natalie Diaz's jumper with 7:17 left.
The Lady Techsters scored the next six points to open a 16-point cushion with 5:33 to go and were in control the rest of the way. Freshman Catrina Frierson nailed two free throws to finish the run and also added a basket during the burst.
While making only 10 shots, Lennox set a Midwest Region record with 32 attempts. Andrea Stinson of North Carolina State took 27 shots against Texas on March 22, 1990.
Frierson scored 19 points, Jackson added 17 and Takeisha Lewis 12 and 10 rebounds for Louisiana Tech, which shot 44 percent (33-of-75) from the field and outrebounded the Lady Monarchs, 53-48.

It is the third straight season Old Dominion has lost in the regional semifinals. It fell to Tennessee in the 1997 national championship game.
The Lady Techsters have won eight of the last nine meetings with the Lady Monarchs and lead the all-time series, 14-5.
