DURHAM, North Carolina (Ticker) -- Alana Beard scored 13 points and dished out six assists, leading a balanced offense as third-ranked Duke cruised past Toledo, 71-41, in the final of the Duke Women's Basketball Classic. Georgia Schweitzer had nine points and five assists and Rochelle Parent, freshman Iciss Tillis, Sheana Mosch and Olga Gvozdenovic scored eight points apiece for the Blue Devils (7-0). With Duke running away to a 36-13 at the half, 11 Blue Devils played at least 11 minutes. Beard and Tillis, the daughter of former boxer James "Quick" Tillis, had five steals apiece. Duke made 18 steals and forced 27 turnovers overall. Courtney Risinger led Toledo (2-1) with 10 points and Kahli Carter had 10 rebounds. The Rockets shot just 21 percent (12-of-56) from the field, while the Blue Devils hit at a 46 percent clip (29-of-63).
