CANCUN, Mexico (Ticker) -- Katie Douglas scored 18 points and Cherrise Graham added 15 as No. 4 Purdue survived a sloppy performance to pull out a 68-53 victory over South Carolina in the final of the Cancun Tournament. The Boilermakers (5-1) outscored the Lady Gamecocks (1-3) by 14 points in the second half despite shooting just 35 percent (9-of-26). Purdue made up for its woeful shooting and its 20 turnovers by pounding the boards, and got some help from the officials. The Boilermakers outrebounded the Lady Gamecocks, 48-22, and went to the line 35 times, hitting 23 free throws. South Carolina was just 9-of-14 from the line and shot 42 percent (21-of-50) from the field. Nihan Anaz scored 14 points but had eight turnovers and Petra Ujhelyi added 12 points for South Carolina.
