LEXINGTON, Kentucky (Ticker) -- Katie Douglas and Camille Cooper scored 13 points apiece, leading fifth-ranked Purdue to an 87-67 victory over Kentucky. Shereka Wright added 12 points and six rebounds and Erika Valek scored 12 for the Boilermakers (6-1), who shot 56 percent (18-of-32) in the first half, when they opened up a 48-35 lead. Stephanie Stoglin led the Wildcats (2-3) with 14 points and 10 rebounds, SeSe Helm scored 12, LaTonya McDole 11 and Alvine Mendeng 10. Valek scored six points in a 16-2 run that took the Boilermakers from a 5-2 deficit to an 18-7 lead with 15:22 left in the first half. Candi Crawford scored four of her six points in the run. The Wildcats got the lead down to 38-31 on a free throw by McDole with 4:07 left in the half, but the Boilermakers closed out the period with a 10-2 run and led by 15 points at the half. Purdue never let Kentucky closer than 13 points in the second half.
