CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa (Ticker) -- Angie Welle scored 24 points and Lindsey Wilson added 15 and seven assists as eighth-ranked Iowa State rolled to an 81-65 victory over DePaul in the second game of the Blimpie's Blast. Tracy Gahan added 13 points and 12 rebounds and Welle also grabbed nine boards for the Cyclones (4-0), who controlled the boards, 44-22. Molly Watson led the Blue Demons (1-3) with 16 points. Brianna Fitzgerald scored 15 and Sylvia Blakeslee added 11. The Cyclones never trailed and took control with a 17-4 run over a seven-minute span in the first half. Gahan hit a pair of 3-pointers and Welle and Megan Taylor each scored four points in the run, which gave Iowa State a 31-16 lead with 4:44 left in the half. Iowa State led by as much as 31 points in the second half and never let DePaul closer than the final margin.
