CHESTNUT HILL, Massachusetts (Ticker) -- Katie Douglas scored 18 points and Camille Cooper added 14 to lead No. 5 Purdue, which started out slow, but pulled away for a 73-61 victory over No. 19 Boston College.

Shalicia Hurns came off the bench to add 10 points and nine rebounds for the Boilermakers (7-1), whose only loss came at the hands of their only ranked opponent, Louisiana Tech.

Boston College (3-2) jumped to a 19-12 lead when Becky Gottstein hit a jumper with 11:59 to play in the first half, but that was to be the Eagles' biggest lead of the game.

A layup by Purdue's Camil Cooper with 3:35 left in the half cappped a 12-5 surge and tied the score, 24-24. Douglas scored a layup that put Boilermakers up to stay, 30-28, and they led at the break, 36-30.

Gottenstein scored 16 points and had 10 rebounds. She scored 10 in the second half for the Eagles, who cut the lead to two with 10:28 to play on a 3-pointer by Danielle O'Banion.

But the Boilermakers hit a 3-pointer on their next possession to start a 7-0 run and they won going away.

The Boilermakers shot 55 percent (31-of-56) for the game and held Boston College to 39 percent (25-of-64).
