AKRON, Ohio (Ticker) -- Nicole Levandusky scored 18 points, set a school record with 11 steals and added nine rebounds as No. 20 Xavier posted an 84-57 triumph over Akron.

The win was the 100th at Xavier for coach Melanie Balcomb. Jennifer Phillips added 17 points in 21 minutes for the Lady Musketeers (8-1), who led 50-31 at the half and cruised over the final 20 minutes. Kate Kreager added a career-high 16 points and Taru Tuukkanen 14 for Xavier, which shot 52 percent (34-of-65).

Xavier held a 42-34 rebounding edge and capitalized on 24 Akron turnovers.

Cheryl Bowles and Hollie Stephenson had 12 points apiece for Akron (2-9). Jamie Kruvak added 11 but the starting five of the Lady Zips combined to make just 29 percent (14-of-47) of their shots.

Akron was within 31-22 with eight minutes to go in the half but Xavier closed the half with a 19-9 run and was not challenged thereafter.
