AUSTIN, Texas (Ticker) -- Tamika Catchings collected 19 points and 18 rebounds and fellow forward Gwen Jackson added 18 and 11 as No. 2 Tennessee turned back 22nd-ranked Texas, 67-59, to remain unbeaten.

Catching was 7-of-13 from the field while Jackson converted 8-of-9 shots.

Tennessee (10-0) trailed 31-29 at intermission but outscored the Longhorns, 38-28, in the second half to survive its second straight close call. The Lady Vols struggled to get past Stanford, 63-58, on Sunday.

The loss snapped a nine-game winning streak for Texas (11-2).

Gwen Jackson contributed 18 points and 11 rebounds for the Lady Vols, who overcame 22 turnovers by holding Texas (11-2) to just 28 percent (22-of-80) shooting. Tennessee also had a 59-45 edge on the boards.

Stacy Stephens led Texas with just 13 points while Kenya Larkin added 12. Starting center Tracy Cook grabbed 13 rebounds for the Longhorns but was 0-of-15 from the field.
