ANN ARBOR, Michigan (Ticker) -- Katie Douglas and Erika Valek each scored 13 points to lead No. 8 Purdue to a 65-54 victory over Michigan in a Big Ten Conference matchup. Camille Cooper and Shalicia Hurns added 12 points apiece for Purdue (12-3, 2-0 Big Ten), which led only 34-29 at halftime. The Boilermakers shot 50 percent (26-of-52) from the field and outrebounded the Wolverines 44-26, holding a 31-13 advantage on the defensive end. LeeAnn Bies had 15 points for Michigan (8-4, 1-1), which shot just 30 percent (10-of-30) in the second half. Purdue has won four straight contests since a 62-55 setback against Louisiana State on December 16. Despite the loss, Michigan has won seven of its last nine games.
