NASHVILLE, Tennessee (Ticker) -- Hillary Hager scored 18 points and Zuzana Klimesova added 17 as 22nd-ranked Vanderbilt continued its torrid shooting in an 84-66 victory over Vermont.
Eight days after shooting a school-record 70 percent in a win at Portland State, Vanderbilt (9-2) connected on better than 62 percent (33-of-53) of its field goals en route to its third straight win.
Hager made 7-of-11 shots, including 3-of-6 3-pointers. Klimesova was 8-of-13 from the field as all five starters scored in double figures for the Commodores. Ashley McElhiney added 15 points, seven assists and five rebounds, Chantelle Anderson scored 13 points and Jenni Benninfield had 11 and seven rebounds.
Vanderbilt dominated inside, outscoring Vermont (6-6) in the paint, 36-18. The Commodores' starting frontcourt of Klimesova, Benningfield and Anderson outrebounded the Catamounts' trio of Rachel Bryan, Theresa Larocque and Dawn Cressman, 17-6.
Morgan Hall scored 24 points off the bench to lead all scorers for Vermont, which fell to 2-3 on the road. The Catamounts shot 43 percent (26-of-60).
