NORMAN, Oklahoma (Ticker) -- Megan Taylor made a jumper as time expired to give seventh-ranked Iowa State a thrilling 81-79 win over No. 16 Oklahoma in a Big 12 Conference matchup.
Angie Welle scored 18 points and Taylor added 17 for Iowa State (11-1, 2-0 Big 12), which held off a furious late rally by the Sooners to remain undefeated in conference play.
The Cyclones seemed to be in control, building a 77-59 lead with 6:13 remaining in the second half on Erica Haugen's fourth 3-pointer of the game.
But Oklahoma relied on some long-range shooting of its to storm back as Sunny Hardeman's 3-pointer gave the Sooners a 79-77 lead with 1:32 to play.
Oklahoma's Jen Cunningham fouled Lindsey Wilson, who made both free throws with 1:10 left to tie the contest. After the Sooners failed to score on their next possession, Iowa State worked the clock to set up Taylor's game-winning basket.
Haugen scored 15 points, Tracy Gahan added 14 and Wilson contributed 10 for the Cyclones, who shot 52 percent (28-of-54) from the field, including 9-of-17 from 3-point range.
Welle had 14 points in the first half as Iowa State shot a blistering 58 percent (14-of-24) to move out to a 45-34 advantage.
Hardeman drained six of Oklahoma's 13 3-pointers and scored 20 points. Stacey Dales added 19 for Oklahoma (9-4, 1-1), which had its four-game winning streak stopped.
