AMES, Iowa (Ticker) -- Angie Welle had 17 points and 10 rebounds and Erica Haugen added 13 points as seventh-ranked Iowa State cruised to its third straight win, a 67-48 romp over Kansas in a Big 12 Conference game.
Welle hit 7-of-9 shots as Iowa State (12-1, 3-0 Big 12) shot 45 percent (21-of-47) from the floor and extended its home winning streak to 11 games. The Cyclones have not lost in Hilton Coliseum since a 79-71 setback to Kansas last season.
Lindsey Wilson scored 12 points and Megan Taylor added 11 for Iowa State, which won for just the fifth time in the last 13 meetings with the Jayhawks.
Jaclyn Johnson had 21 points and eight boards for Kansas (6-7, 0-2), which has lost four straight games for the first time since the 1992-93 season. Brooke Reves recorded eight points and six rebounds for the Jayhawks, who shot a season-low 7.7 percent (1-of-13) from 3-point range.
